COVID-19 Guidelines for 2020-2021 School Year

Our desire is to partner with you to make the 2020-2021 school year safe, educational, and fun for each student. We are working hard to stay on top of all new information that is put out by our country and by the Sacramento County Board of Education. We will be resuming on-campus instruction starting on August 17. Below are guidelines that will be following, and there will be some that we will ask you to help us out with to make the upcoming school year possible.

  • Parents will need to monitor their student’s health before they come to school each day. If parents are making sure that their student(s) are without a fever (100.4°F or higher), severe cough, and aren’t vomiting, it will help us to make sure that the only students that are on campus are students that are healthy and not contagious.

  • When a student is sick, they may not return to campus until they have been without symptoms for 48 hours without the aide of medication.

  • Our staff will be cleaning and sanitizing our campus each day.

  • Restrooms will have extra cleanings daily.

  • We will be encouraging social distancing whenever possible.

  • If any of our school families decide that their students are safer with masks, we will fully encourage that for those students.

  • Hand sanitizer will be used by each student and staff member when they enter the classroom. We will have extra hand washing times throughout the school day.

  • If a student tests positive for COVID-19 we ask that you let the school office know as soon as possible.

  • If a student is directly exposed to COVID-19, we ask that your student be self-quarantined for the doctor recommended time (Usually 14 days). Your student’s teacher(s) will work with your student to continue learning at home during your student’s time of distance learning.

  • All students that have been out due to illness will have their temperatures taken when they return to school.

  • Any student that shows signs of sickness during school hours will be isolated and parents will be asked to pick-up their student immediately.

These guidelines are subject to change as we closely monitor our county’s recommendations.
